Slavina Ancheva

Slavina Ancheva graduated Summa cum laude from Stetson University in the United States where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Economics. During her time at Stetson, she conducted several research projects focused on Europe. Slavina is part of Eva Maydell’s team since 2018 and prior to that, she obtained professional experience through internships at the European Parliament, the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Bulgaria to the UN, and a think tank in Washington, DC. In her free time, she likes to volunteer at organisations focused on the rights of people with disabilities, play volleyball, read, and travel.

Violeta Palatovska

Violeta obtained her Master’s degree in European Politics and Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Liège in Belgium.

Before joining Eva Maydell’s team in Brussels in 2017, Violeta gained further insight as a trainee in the European Parliament, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the Bulgarian Permanent Representation to the EU, the Atlantic club in Bulgaria and others.

Violeta is passionate about diplomacy, foreign affairs and foreign languages. She speaks Bulgarian, French, English and German. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, skiing and reading.

Bulgaria

Neno Nenov

Neno Nenov is an alumnus of Erasmus University Rotterdam’s International Public Management and Policy graduate programme, as well as a Bachelor of European Studies from Sofia University. Before becoming a part of Eva Maydell’s team, he was a communications advisor with the European Research Council.

Dimitar Stoyanov

Dimitar Stoyanov graduated the Technical University in Sofia. He holds MSc degrees in nuclear energy and industrial management. He acquired further spacialisation in organisational and social aspects of knowledge management in Vienna. Dimitar worked as a nuclear engineer and has experience in nuclear knowledge management. He was an advisor to the Minister of Regional Development Rossen Plevneliev and later a local assistant to the Member of the European Parliament Vladimir Urutchev.

Lora Kostadinova

Lora Kostadinova has a Bachelor’s in Public Administration from the University of Veliko Turnovo and a Master’s in National and Regional Security from the National Military University. She is responsible for the organization and coordination of events in the Veliko Turnovo region. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and travelling around Bulgaria.

Zlatka Dimitrova

A Public Administration graduate from Sofia University, Zlatka Dimitrova was an English teacher with the Teach for Bulgaria program. She is currently advising on a part-time basis Eva Maydell on how to improve the quality of education for young people in Bulgaria. She enjoys hiking and meeting people who try to make a difference.

Ivan Kolovos

Ivan has been a dedicated photographer for over 20 years, following Bulgaria’s European journey since the country’s ascension in 2007, including historical visits by EP President Hans-Gert Pöttering and EC head Jose Manuel Barroso. Ivan joined Eva’s team in 2014 and has been documenting on a part-time basis the most important moments of her tenure ever since.
